Genesis Automotive and RV Repair, a real gem in the Northwest

by Claire Dojcsak 7th September 2018

You know what they say when you buy an RV?  The tag line is "It's always something", I think the industry should trade mark that because any recreational vehicle owner knows exactly what I'm talking about. From motor homes to travel trailers and 5th wheels, the issues are all the same.

The difference in having joy of ownership is finding the correct place to get service work done on your rig.  As a Winnebago owner of a 40' class A, I had some issues that came along with the "joys of ownership", some jacks that for the life of me would not go down so I lived without them for over 5 months.   And due to a wild wind gust, I lost the large awning spring in the middle of the night.  Note to self:  Make sure to always close your awning before you go to bed.  An expensive lesson learned the hard way!

It was time to take "Jasmine" in for her scheduled maintenance and to have the jack issue looked at. So where do you turn to find just the "right" RV service place?  In these days of $140 per hour service fees, you need to be careful because any type of service can set you back thousands of dollars.   I was VERY fortunate to find an amazing RV Repair Service in the Lakewood area of Tacoma.   Genesis Automotive and RV Repair Service.

Brian, the owner and his beautiful wife Lisa are vey nice individuals as well as the entire staff.  Their tech reps are very well trained and knew exactly what the issues were because they are trained on the latest parts and service for all vehicles.  They are located off of exit 129 in the Lakewood area of Tacoma, Washington, the land of all the RV dealers.

Genesis Automotive & RV Repair provides complete auto service, RV Repair, trailer repair, and fleet repair too! They have a great reputation in the community for not only providing great RV and auto service but also fleet repair and horse trailer repair.  Their technicians are ASE certified and always available to answer and service questions you may have.  They were able to diagnose the jack issue as a MELTED fuse in the control box.  Can you imagine that?  I was so happy that their tech rep Ken was able to find that issue.  He said it may have been a real fire issue, whew!  a close one none the less.  (BIG thanks to KEN!)

They are currently an Onan authorized generator dealer and repair facility and honor many manufacturers warranty as well. Electrical, plumbing, suspension, and brakes, they do it all. Horse Trailer Repair

I was very happy to have Jasmine back on her feet after spending a few nights at their place.  They have plug in service for those that need 50 AMP and will even provide you with water for your rig.  The best part of the service was the invoice that didn't give you sticker shock.  They provided a great service and it was very generously priced.

I highly recommend their services, check out their website for more information, you'll be very glad you did!
